MP3Movement for Patriotism and People’s Prosperity

How we are organised

Who decides, who carries it out, and where one joins. The pyramid of the 2024 memorandum, and what the Bana congress installed.

Six levels

One enters through the section, where one lives. The congress is the top: it is not replaced between two meetings.

  • The congress

This is the highest body. Members gather there to elect the national leadership, adopt the line and amend the texts. Between two congresses, no one can place themselves above what was voted there. The first was held in Bana, in the West, from 12 to 14 December 2025. The 2024 memorandum already places it in the pyramid, with the national sitting as another meeting of national reach.

  • The national political bureau

Between two congresses, the country does not stop. The political bureau steers current action: the line, the campaigns, the calls when two readings of a text meet. It does not replace the federations. Those remain the party’s houses in the regions. The bureau is the leadership that came out of the Bana congress. The memorandum names the permanent secretariat and the national sitting, without yet listing the office-holders.

  • The general secretariat

The secretariat carries out what the congress and the bureau have decided. It keeps the correspondence, records memberships, follows dues, publishes statements and remains the link with the leagues. The memorandum calls it the permanent secretariat. It is the body that, in January 2019, filed the legalisation papers. The party’s seat is in Douala, post box 1427. No street address is published.

  • The federations

One federation per administrative region, plus the diaspora. The statutes give it 200 regional representatives. It links the leagues, carries the line, prepares the meetings. Since Bana, deployment takes up this level again. The five agroecological federations of 2026 describe the form of the state. The party federation is an internal structure.

  • The departmental leagues

The statutes count 58 departments in 2024. Each league has 100 representatives, chosen in proportion to the members of the cells. A diaspora league opens in a country once a hundred members live there. The league organises the party’s part in legislative elections.

  • The communal sections

The statutes provide for a cell in each of the 360 districts, and in the diaspora cities where members live. People join there, meet there, and keep office hours there. The cell organises the municipal elections.

Leadership from the Bana congress

Hiram Samuel IyodiNational president · 2026–2030 term

Bruce S. Tabeth MbialeuDeputy executive secretariat, membership

What the party is, according to the memorandum

The memorandum starts from a finding: communities and nations last when they carry a vision and an organisation able to realise it. MP3 refuses to remain a booklet of proposals with no effect on daily life. It means to carry itself the vision it has of life and of the country’s future.

The Movement for Patriotism and People’s Prosperity is a political association under Cameroonian law, governed by law no. 90/056 of 19 December 1990, authorised by decision no. 000437/D/MINAT/SG/DAP/SDAAE/SAE of 9 November 2023. Secular and non-profit, its main mission is to instruct and train a new class of patriots, moved by civic leadership, for a society of social justice and shared prosperity.

The organisation means to be popular: to be with the people, to think and act for the people, to accomplish through the people. It says it is open, without discrimination. Members commit to drawing from the heritage of ethnolinguistic groups the principles and values of a modern society, in phase with the realities of the country.

What the party is for

Spreading a law means making it readable. Defending a freedom means stepping in when it is threatened. Training means showing how a meeting or a vote works.

  • Spread the laws, the regulations and the history of Cameroon.
  • Defend fundamental freedoms and rights.
  • Train and accompany people in participatory citizenship and in activism.
  • Promote ethics, good governance and democratic principles.
  • Spread national culture as the social project defines it.
  • Design programmes that strengthen living together on the basis of shared prosperity.
  • Make the pan-African ideology known.

The values, one by one

They take up the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, already recalled in the preamble of the Constitution. Each one is an instruction.

  • Respect for life and human dignity.
  • The protection of freedoms.
  • Equality of rights and of chances.
  • Respect for the laws and the institutions of the Republic.
  • Good governance.
  • Merit.
  • Shared prosperity.
  • The promotion of African traditional values.
  • The sovereignty of peoples.

The six bodies of the memorandum

The pyramid runs from the base toward the top. One enters from the bottom.

  • The municipal cells.
  • The departmental leagues.
  • The regional federations.
  • The congress.
  • The permanent secretariat.
  • The national sitting.

Three rules anyone can remember

  • Holding more than one office is forbidden. Each member holds only one administrative function.
  • All officials are chosen by vote, according to the internal rules. The party’s election candidates come out of primaries.
  • The executives of the base bodies and the primary lists reflect the balance of the sociological components of the base concerned.

The calendar, from 2017 to 2030

Each year has a task. 2030 is the horizon, not a meeting date.

  • 2017: some thirty young leaders put the party together and run campaigns to register voters.
  • 2018: several of them join the campaign teams of one of the major candidates in the October presidential election.
  • January 2019: the permanent secretariat files the legalisation papers with the governor of the Littoral region. The first cells are created.
  • 9 November 2023: the decision of the Ministry of Territorial Administration gives the party its legal status.
  • 2024: spread afro-socio-liberalism and create the regional structures.
  • 2025: draft the 2025–2050 programme and extend the party’s presence to the departments.
  • 2026: promote that programme and create all the bodies provided for by the statutes.
  • 2030: pool the energies and the genius of Cameroonians for a lasting dynamic of winning and exercising power, in the service of social justice and shared prosperity, in Cameroon and in Africa.
